Why is privacy important?

A person's private affairs, movements, thoughts, words, and choices are their own, and the state has no right to interfere in them. This is a foundational principle of libertarianism, and it is constantly under attack from governments and big businesses in a digital world. Leslie Corbly and I discuss the many complicated issues around privacy in 2022.

Leslie Corbly is a Privacy Policy Analyst with the Libertas Institute in Lehi, Utah. She covers current events and affairs related to privacy from the perspective of preserving individual rights and essential liberties. She is also a Young Voices contributor.
